Join the Bad Experiences not Bad Character campaign

Right now, when someone reports being raped, past disclosures of sexual violence - no matter how unrelated - are being used against them in court.

Many women experience multiple incidents of sexual violence over their lifetime, but some survivors have had this used against them as evidence of their supposed ‘bad character’.

It is deeply unfair for victim/survivors to be treated as liars simply because they have disclosed a previous sexual assault. That's why we've teamed up with Centre For Women's Justice, End Violence Against Women Coalition, Imkaan and Rights of Women to campaign for a change in law around 'victim bad character' evidence.
